Heating & Air Conditioning in Bixby, OK

From the original town south of the Arkansas River to the newer neighborhoods north of it, we install, repair and maintain heating and cooling systems all over Bixby.

From the Garden Spot to the suburbs

Bixby took the name "The Garden Spot of Oklahoma" from its farming years, when truck farms and later sod farms covered much of the land, and the Green Corn Festival still celebrates that history. Much of that farmland has since become neighborhoods, and the city, which reaches into both Tulsa and Wagoner counties, has grown fast.

From our Sapulpa shop we reach Bixby by way of Kiefer and Glenpool on SH-67, which runs east along 151st Street South to Memorial Drive (US-64) in Bixby.

Newer homes and the heat pump question

A lot of Bixby houses are new enough that the original system is still running but old enough that homeowners are starting to plan for replacement. That is a good time to ask whether a heat pump makes sense for you.

A modern heat pump cools in summer and heats through most of an Oklahoma winter, and many homes pair it with a gas furnace or electric backup for the coldest nights. Inverter-driven heat pumps adjust their speed instead of running full-blast and shutting off, which helps with comfort and humidity. We install high-efficiency inverter systems including Midea, TCL and TuttoKool, and we work on all major brands.

Whatever you choose, we start with a Manual J load calculation and finish with static-pressure balancing, so the system is sized for your house and the airflow is right.

One tip for heat pump owners: big thermostat setbacks in winter can backfire. When you raise the temperature several degrees at once on a cold morning, many systems bring on the backup heat strips to catch up, which costs more to run. Smaller adjustments, or a thermostat designed for heat pumps, usually work better.

Spring storms and outdoor units

Spring in the Tulsa area means wind, hail and heavy rain. Hail can flatten the fins on an outdoor coil, and storm debris and grass clippings can choke airflow through it. A coil that cannot move air makes the system work harder all summer.

After a big storm, walk outside and look at your outdoor unit. If the fins look crushed, the fan is noisy or the system is not cooling like it was, call us. A maintenance visit before the heat sets in catches most of these problems early.

Plans, financing and estimates

Our Gold, Silver and Bronze maintenance plans keep your system on a regular schedule. Replacement estimates are free, financing is available subject to credit approval, and we can walk you through current rebate programs from your electric and gas utility.

Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. After-hours help is available based on technician availability, and a surcharge may apply. If something breaks, a diagnostic visit is $95, and that fee is waived when you have us make the repair.
