Heating & Air Conditioning in Tulsa, OK

We serve Tulsa from our shop in Sapulpa, about 14 miles southwest of downtown by I-44, with repair, replacement and maintenance for homes and light commercial buildings.

Serving Tulsa from just down Route 66

Tulsa calls itself the Birthplace of Route 66, and the old road still links our Sapulpa shop to the city as SH-66. Between that, I-44 and the Creek Turnpike, which starts at the Turner Turnpike in Sapulpa and runs across south Tulsa, we can reach most of the city without crossing the whole metro.

Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. After-hours help is available based on technician availability, and a surcharge may apply.

Older Tulsa homes need a different approach

Tulsa's oil-boom years left the city with one of the country's largest collections of Art Deco buildings and a lot of homes that were built long before central air was common. Many older houses in midtown and near downtown were retrofitted over the decades, and it shows: duct runs squeezed into tight attics, returns that are too small, and rooms at the end of the line that never quite cool down.

For homes like these, we start with the house, not the equipment. A Manual J load calculation tells us how much heating and cooling the house actually needs, and a static-pressure test tells us whether the ductwork can deliver it. When an addition, a converted attic or a sunroom has no good path for ductwork, a ductless mini-split is often the cleanest answer.

Older homes also tend to have older gas piping. If you are adding a gas appliance or moving a furnace, we handle gas line work along with the HVAC side.

Newer construction farther from the city center has the opposite set of problems. Those homes are tighter and better insulated, so the old rule-of-thumb sizing that worked in a drafty 1940s house will oversize the equipment. Oversized systems short-cycle, leave humidity behind and wear out sooner, which is why we size every installation from the house up.

Tulsa summers and winter storms

Tulsa has a humid subtropical climate, and the hottest stretch usually runs from July into early September, with triple-digit afternoons and high humidity at the same time. That combination is hard on an air conditioner that is low on refrigerant, has a dirty coil or was oversized to begin with.

Winter is less predictable. The December 2007 ice storm and the February 2021 deep freeze both showed how fast a heating problem becomes an emergency. A fall tune-up on your furnace or heat pump, before the first hard cold snap, is the cheapest insurance we know of.

Small offices and storefronts, too

We do light commercial work for small offices, shops and similar buildings around Tulsa, along with residential service. Ask us about current PSO and ONG rebate programs, our Gold, Silver and Bronze maintenance plans, and financing on new equipment, subject to credit approval.

For a business, a failed system means an uncomfortable workday for staff and customers. A regular maintenance schedule, filter changes and a coil cleaning before summer go a long way toward keeping a small commercial system running when it is needed most.

Tulsa HVAC questions

What does a service call in Tulsa cost?

Our diagnostic visit is $95, and that fee is waived when you have us make the repair. Estimates on a full system replacement are free.

Can you add air conditioning to an older Tulsa home without good ductwork?

Often, yes. Depending on the house, that might mean correcting the existing ducts or installing a ductless mini-split in the rooms that need it. We look at the home first and explain the options.

Do you work on commercial buildings in Tulsa?

We handle light commercial heating and cooling, such as small offices and storefronts. Call (918) 370-1260 to describe the building and we will tell you whether it is a fit.
