Gas Line Installation

Gas Line Installation in Sapulpa & the Tulsa Metro

Adding a gas appliance or moving one? We install gas lines for furnaces, water heaters, ranges, generators and outdoor kitchens, installed to code and pressure-tested before anything is turned on.

New gas appliance

Switching from electric to a gas range, dryer or water heater takes a properly sized line run to that spot.

Furnace or heating upgrade

A new furnace or dual-fuel system may need a new or larger gas line to run correctly.

Standby generator

A home standby generator needs a gas line sized for its demand, so it is ready when spring storms knock out power.

Outdoor kitchen or fire pit

Grills, fire pits and patio heaters can run on a permanent gas line instead of refilling tanks.

Gas lines for every part of your home

Gas piping is a natural part of our heating work, and we put the same care into every line we run. Whether it is one new appliance or several, we plan the route, size the pipe and make the connections properly.

  • Gas furnaces and dual-fuel systems
  • Tank and tankless water heaters
  • Gas ranges, cooktops and dryers
  • Standby generators
  • Outdoor kitchens, grills, fire pits and patio heaters
  • Shop and garage heaters

Sized right for the load

Every gas appliance needs a certain amount of fuel to run safely. If the pipe is too small or the run is too long, appliances can be starved for gas, which leads to poor performance and nuisance shutdowns. That is especially true for tankless water heaters and generators, which use a lot of gas at once.

We add up what all your gas appliances need and size the piping for the total. If your current service may not support a new appliance, we will tell you up front and explain what it would take, including anything that has to be coordinated with your gas company.

Installed to code and pressure-tested

With gas, safety is the whole job. Every line we put in is installed to code and pressure-tested to confirm it holds tight before any appliance is connected and turned on. We check every connection before we leave.

When we finish, we show you where your shutoff valves are and how to use them, so you know how to turn off gas to an appliance if you ever need to.

If you smell gas

Natural gas has an added odor that smells like rotten eggs so leaks can be noticed. If you smell gas in your home, leave right away. Do not use light switches, phones or anything that could make a spark inside. Once you are safely outside, call your gas company or 911.

After the gas company has made it safe, we can repair or replace damaged lines and appliance connections.

Gas Line Installation FAQ

Can you add a gas line for a new range or dryer?

Yes. If your home already has gas service, we can usually run a new line from the existing piping to your kitchen or laundry area. We check that the piping and service can handle the added load, install the line to code, pressure-test it and make a safe connection for the appliance.

How long does it take to install a gas line?

A simple run to a single appliance is often done in a few hours. Longer runs, lines that go underground to an outdoor kitchen or generator, and jobs with several appliances take more time. We will give you a clear timeline and price before any work starts, so you know what to expect.

What size gas line does a generator need?

It depends on the generator's size, the distance from your gas meter and what other gas appliances share the line. Standby generators can use a lot of gas at full load, so an undersized line is a common problem. We size the piping for the total demand so the generator and your other appliances all run properly.

Why does a new gas line need a pressure test?

A pressure test confirms the new piping and joints are sealed before gas ever flows through them. The line is pressurized and watched over time to make sure it holds. It is the best way to catch a leak at installation, instead of after the appliance is running. Every line we install is pressure-tested.

Can I install a gas line myself?

We don't recommend it. Gas piping has to be sized correctly, joined properly and tested for leaks, and mistakes can lead to fires, explosions or carbon monoxide problems. Hiring a qualified pro protects your family and your home. We install every line to code and pressure-test it before it goes into service.
