Heating & Air Conditioning in Sand Springs, OK
Sand Springs sits on the Arkansas River west of Tulsa, and SH-97 runs north from our Sapulpa shop right into it.
Charles Page's city on the river
Oilman Charles Page founded Sand Springs in 1911 as a model community, built a railway to connect it to Tulsa, and gave the city a long tradition of looking after its own. The historic downtown, now called the Box District, still carries that history, along with landmarks like the Art Deco Page Memorial Library.
Most of Sand Springs is in Tulsa County, with pieces in Osage and Creek counties. We serve the whole city, from the older streets downtown to the newer neighborhoods and the wooded country out toward Keystone Lake.
Older homes near the original town were built long before central air, so many have ductwork that was added later and runs through crawlspaces or tight attics. When we replace equipment in a house like that, we run a Manual J load calculation and check static pressure first, because a new system is only as good as the ducts feeding it. Where ducts are not practical, a ductless mini-split can cool an addition or a stubborn room.
Straight up SH-97 from Sapulpa
SH-97 starts in Sapulpa and runs north through Creek County and Prattville before it crosses the Arkansas River with SH-51 into the main part of Sand Springs. That makes Sand Springs a direct route for us, without having to go through Tulsa.
Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm. After-hours help is available based on technician availability, and a surcharge may apply.
Trees, leaves and outdoor units
The cross timbers country around Sand Springs, including the Keystone Ancient Forest preserve, is a big part of the area's character. For homeowners with mature trees, it also means leaves, seed fluff and twigs collecting on outdoor units. A coil packed with debris cannot shed heat, so the system runs longer and works harder.
Keep a couple of feet clear around your outdoor unit and rinse the coil gently with a hose from the inside out if it is easy to reach. If the unit still struggles, a maintenance visit with a proper coil cleaning usually makes a noticeable difference.
Ready for storm season
Sand Springs knows Oklahoma weather firsthand. An EF2 tornado struck the city in 2015, and every spring brings wind, hail and power flickers. After a storm, check your outdoor unit for damage before running the system hard. If anything looks bent, sounds wrong or smells burnt, shut it off and call us.
Our diagnostic visit is $95, waived with repair. Replacement estimates are free, financing is available subject to credit approval, and our Gold, Silver and Bronze maintenance plans keep systems on schedule.
